I no some of you have already read these but I want to know if some of you guys have some I havn't read.

Here are some of mine:
I wrote this one in one of my suicidal phases:

Unknown and known
'Mommy? Where did this bruise come from?'
'It's nothing, dear. I must have bumped it somewhere.'

Never would I realize what went on behind closed doors,
Hitting and sceaming and 'I don't want you anymore's'

They managed a perfect facade.

Until there were no more doors,
'DON'T HIT HER ANYMORE!'

I yelled and screamed
but no one heard me.
I thought this was how all familys were supposed to be.

Strong for my little sister I was being,
But alone I hid and cried; my chest heaving.

Soon the lies were spent,
Just me,my sister, and my mom were left.

^^(there used to be 2 more stanza's to that one but I took them out-this rly summed up the past 3-5 years of my life)

YESTERDAYS:
(I wrote this cuz I was bored one day)

Yesterday I realized I’m just one drop of water to the entire sea.
Yesterday I realized I had no idea what was in store for me.

Yesterday I wondered why no one was getting along with the girl all alone.
Yesterday I wondered where was really my home.

Yesterday I dreamt what no one was dreaming.
Yesterday I dreamt of the pain I kept endearing.

Yesterday I wanted to not have someone lead my life.
Yesterday I wanted to know why everyone ended up in strife.

Today as I pondered what happened yesterday.
I realized my life didn’t really change from day to day.

Today I realized the sea kept getting bigger.

Today I wondered if I even had a home.

Today I kept dreaming what no one was dreaming.

Today I still wanted to lead my own life.

Yesterday, today
It's all the same.

(If someone can come up wit a better way to end it I'd be eternally grateful-cuz I think thats sucky ending)

Thx bunches....

Most ppl don't like depressing poetry because they think the person is all sad and suicidal, but I like depressing poetry because it's thought provoking-you can feel what the person is feeling and understand them, to a point.

The first one is more true to me than the 2nd one-sure the second one is kind of a general topic, but the 1st one pertains to me.

And, yes, I DID think that all familys had thier parents fighting that much andhitting eachother-It NEVER crossed my mind that it was abuse.
It was my step-dad anyway, my mom had already divorced my dad when I was 5. Now she divorced my step-dad in May and she's engaged to a new guy who is IN THE PROCESS of getting divorced to HIS 2nd wife.

(I have a hectic family... Confused )

i totally agree about the depressing poetry, i think its a sign that somethings really well written if it can make you feel a strong emotion, even if it is sadness.

Yes not many "happy, cheery" poems can make you feel all "happy, cheery"
lol-crappy way of putting it but...oh, well.

idk, depressing or sad poetry is usually deeper because it's based off of real emotion. i don't know about everyone else, but i find it easier to write when i'm REALLY emotional, so usually is some stage of sadness. I can really fill in my poetry when i can think like that, otherwise i feel like my writing is lifeless and empty.

Great porms hun!

I usually write when I'm bored lol. I'll post one of my poems to show you what my stuff is usually like.

A Wonderful Feeling

The feeling that I get when I’m laying in your arms
The feeling that I get when you’re working your charms
I feel it when we walk together
I feel it in the sunny weather

In your hugs and in your kiss
Is when I start to feel like this
I feel it when you catch my eye
But mostly when you stand nearby

This feeling that has a mysterious way
Is a feeling that I get everyday
A feeling that I get a lot of
This feeling called the feeling of love
