I prefer the Twilight Series because it's an extended story. I like more than one book in a series so I enjoy the Twilight Series because it's extended. Plus I love vampires more than alien invasions.

I like The Host better (I'm more sci-fi than mythical). The entire story is just more interesting to me, and I like how everything works out perfectly, but not in an obvious way. Smile

I thought about putting a can't decide choice, but then i figured that everyone would put that! lol. i prefer the host, personally. i think it's better written, and it's just more mature.

I like twilight better, just because i can relate to Bella on so many things, and she's just a honest to god real person with real flaws. People are always complaining about how she's so annoying and helpless but she's actually the first book character i've read from the PoV of that's actually like a real person. Nothing against Mel and Wanda, of course, but The Host isn't really a book you can relate to, there isn't as much emotion as there is in twilight. In twilight you get swept up by the feeling of things and you care passionately about all the characters, but the host is less feeling more story.

well i already said why i think the host is better. it's the whole relationship development thing, its dealt with way better in The Host.

I've only read the host once =)
I like semi-gory, macrabe stuff...but I like romance 2.
Suspence is probaly my fave genre and twilight brings those (romance & suspense) together.

yes i must say twilight
it has action and fear, suspense and romance, passion and friendship in one
i cant even describe the draw to those books
plus, simply, the mythical intrigue me more than alians
and i just see more conflict in twilight, though i notice a similarity in poth books
both couples r different species from eachother~but Edward and Bella have a difference along the food chain..
more conflict, more story, more suspence
where in the host an alien and a human seem to be able to be together much easier
they love eachother and there is really not much to stop it
except maybe the war between humans and aliens but there is the vampire and werewolf conflict to make up for that

I'm more drawn to mythical romance suspence action kinda books.

I have only read part of the first book in the Twilight series. So far I didn't like it nearly as much as I enjoyed The Host. I guess I find the vampier thing kind of creepy. Brain parisites takeing over bodies is creepy to, I guess I prefer scifi villians over fantasy.

hehe, be careful... some of these girls are Edward OBSESSED. It can get ugly at times when five or six want the same man.... Half of them already have their claims on Ian.
