So what do you guys think about the twilight movie...or what we've heard about it so far...I'm not so sure about the casting of Edward (like many other people I've talked to)...but I love the casting for Emmet =)...Carlisle and Esme and Alice I liked also...they fit the part perfect...the rest aren't bad...but I'm not so sure about Jacob too...

So long as I don't think of the book, it'll probably be a great movie. I think they did a wonderful job on who they cast for the film. I see Edward in Robert and Bella in Kristen. Just keep an open mind. The movie will be fine.

I agree...as long as I don't think of the book...or rarely think of the book while watching...the movie will be great...the few clips I've seen have been quite spectacular...=)...but I'm still not so sure of Edward...sometimes I think he's not right for the part...but then whenever I watch the clips he seems more and more right for the part...I guess I'll just have to wait and watch...=)

I did. I think it's cool. It identifies them as a family. It's a key to them as characters in a movie, NOT a book. Come on Vampyress, don't be a hypocrite about the movie. Of course the movie isn't going to be EXACTLY like the book, that's actually against copyright laws, they have to change things to make it their own.

I'm not saying anything bad against the crest, ya it's a good identifing symbol, I was talking about the crest design.
I would have likedd it if they got something other than a lion or some clich'ed symbol-I mean the Cullens' are special and I would have hoped they were a llittle more original.
Ya I know the movies not gonna be like the book, but I can still hope it wont be TOTALLY diff, right???

i think the crest is cool, and the symbols they picked actually have meaning behind them, though i forget what the meanings are. Also, i love the whole cast, and i'm going to step into that theatre with a positive outlook. i'm sure i won't be disappointed .

Hmm...I didn't know about a crest, I'll have to find it.

In my opinion, they casted everyone well. They look nowhere near what I picture them as, but no one's watching my version. Smile

The only thing I'm worried about is the way they use special effects to make the vampires move. (In the trailer video, you can tell that the jumps are too lofty, etc.) I don't think it will be very convincing, but I'm still hoping. Smile

yeah i'd never heard about the crest either. has anyone got a picture of it?

i think rob is an okay edward. but he's not at all how i imagined him. He's not beautiful in the classical sense. Which is how think Edward should be.

Also i think that the actor they got to play Embry should have been Jake. He was orignally cast as Jake and he's exactly how i imagined him...

yeah i'm just going to try and view the books and the film as completely seperate things, and hope that it works out. =S
