Oh my god I hated Kyle up until the end. I wanted to kill him for trying to kill Wanderer. I can understand why he doesn't like her but he should have just left like Jeb told him.

I didn't like Kyle at all...but I really liked him at the end...it was great to see his change of heart...and personality...but I kind of don't blame him for trying to kill Wanda...in his eyes...she was the enemy...like a time bomb about to explode...and give them away to the other aliens...

I couldn't say that I like Kyle... more that he makes the story what it is. Without Kyle the book would be pretty lame. I think Kyle is kind of funny... or how Ian and him act around eachother.

Actually, Kyle reminds me a bit of Paul from Twilight. (Paul obviously was infuriated with Jake for telling Bella and Kyle was infuriated with Ian for liking Wanda)
I hated him at first. To me, he was the poster-child for "Evil Inconsiderate Jerks"! But in the end I thought her was soooo cool! I love seeing charectors have a change of heart. And the way he protected Sunny! So sweet! Very Happy

i think kyle's a massive hypocrite. he got real angry with jared and ian especially for liking wanderer once they got to know her.

but when it was a soul in his girlfriends body he could like her.

idk... he just annoys me. its probably because he tried to kill wanda at the beginning, i still haven't forgiven him. =P

I have to agree with symone.......even tho Kyle's a JERK and tryed to kill her, Jared slapped or punched (I forget) her before he got to know her. (I'm not saying Kyle didn't but you know what I mean Kyle jumped to killing her)
I mean Jared punched/slapped her with no intention of killing her.

jared was just confused i think, he was hurting inside, 'cause he thought his love was dead, and then all of a sudden her body appears to mock him. rub the pain in. i don't think he is truly the sort of person who could hurt a woman. he just couldn't see mel as a human anymore, and had learnt to hate souls.

kyle on the other hand, he had seen everyone talking to wanda and could see she was a good person, but he still wanted to kill her, and the only reason he stopped was because she saved his life.... he would still like to have seen her dead right up to when he kidnapped sunny.

I'd take beating killed over being beaten any day. End it all versus going through the same thing day after day... whether it's verbal, physical, emotional or all abuses. It's not pleasant.

Thats kind of the point, isn't it? Jared is emotionaly damaged by the loss of Mel. And quite frankly he wasn't hiting a woman, He was hiting a creature that's race had exposed humanity to a holocaust, no, not a holocaust but genoside. 6+ billion humans, gone, dead. If I were him I would hate the souls too. If you recall he a Jeb are the ones the keep Kyle, IAN, Arron, and Brayndt from killing Wanda in the begining.

yup...super hypocrite...but can you blame him? I mean if i was in that situation...as much as id like to say i wouldnt...i think i might have done what kyle did...at first he didnt understand what jared was going through...then when he did he changed his mind because of the emotional baggage...

Perhaps Kyle is just playing Sunny along. Useing her to find Jodie. He never realy proclaims any love for Sunny. Not even to her. I don't know, the whole Kyle -Sunny thing is just warped. From both ends.

I never really liked Kyle at all and I was upset with Wanda for preventing his death at the tribunal. I seriously wanted him to die, lol. But I read a cute little fic about him last night (followed by a similar dream) and now I have a soft spot for him ^.^

I find his and Sunny's relationship intriguing, even if it is a little [a lot] screwed up.
