L.J.Smith NovelsL.J. Smith has been around for years. Since the early 90's she's been writing books and only in 2007 did her first booked set of novels come out. The first two I read were in the Vampire Diaries Series. Those are great novels and sad and happy and wonderful. I recommend them to everyone.
The next set of novels are the Night World series. I just picked up the first book which has 3 stories in it. I'm on Spellbinder now, which is a novel about two cousins who are going after the same guy. I'm not too far into that one. But if you want to read about vampires who can come out in daylight, rouge werewolves who are mistaken for Sasquatch and witches who thinking playing with boys is fun then you'll enjoy these ones.
Synopsis: The first two rules of the Night World are simple. 1. Don't tell any human about the Night World. 2. Do not fall in love with humans. Break these rules and the penalty is Death. James, Rowan, Jade, Kestral and Ash all break these laws. Jade meets Mark and knows he's her soulmate while his sister Mary-Lynette discovers she's soulmates with Ash, a Big Blonde Cat who she'd never in a million years look at. Except to kick him in the shins of course. But when Mary-Lynette touches Ash, oh... the sparks fly like electricity and she has to come to terms with whether she wants to love the Big Blonde Cat or stay with Jeremy, the rouge werewolf who's just a 'little bit' off his rocker.
James and Poppy have been friends forever, since kindergarten in fact. James is... a vampire. A lamia or born vampire. When he finds out the Poppy is sick and going to die. He gives her two choices.... Live or Die.
Night World has incredible twists and turns with funny parts (Mary-Lynette kicking Ash in the shins) and sad parts. They're very good and all together there are 9 books in the Night World Series. Go pick um up. You just might enjoy them.

Funny I just bought one of her books at barnes nad noble today (No borders here =D)
It's the first Night World book.
I'm only on secret vampire sense I bought it today but It's good so far!

OMG! Just wait til you read Daughters of Darkness. I died laughing with Mary-Lynette and Ash! They're awesome. Also, after you read about Ash and Mary-Lynette go to ljanesmith.net and go to Stories. You can read more on Ash and M-Lin. *snuggles Ash and M-Lin*

I'm reading SpellBinder right now. I'm in love with that one so far. I HATE Thea's cousin Blaise though, you'll find out why when you get to Spellbinder!

Me too, I was little confused with the Cup Of Lethe(sp?) and crap and then I was like OHH!!!!

I have read all three night world books (so like nine stories as each book has three) and I love love love them all. I got the Vampire Diaries series and I am only on book two (so story three) and I love it too. I think that she is just a really really good writer. I enjoy every story of hers.

No I haven't read it yet... I'm getting it next time I get some money. I cannot wait to read it. I just love her!!
Oh and now I am finished with all the Vampire Diaries and I am like dying for the fourth one to come out. Also the fourth Night World.
