So, did anyone make a playlist of what they were listening to whilst reading The Host?

I usually read in silence too...but when I listen to coldplay's Fix You...which I love...because it is amazing and soooo sad...and just my type...i think of some parts of the host...but that's really it

I remember that Kayla (thehostwriter) told me that the song "So Sick" by Flyleaf was kind of like The Host and I agreed.

I don't have a playlist for The Host, but like Squiggles said, when I heard I'm So Sick I immediately thought of Mel and her fighting Wanda for her mind and body back. But that's the only song I can really suggest that went well with the story in parts.

In my opinion, it describes the way that Wanderer came to Earth thinking that she could learn something here, but she soon becomes overwhelmed by the amount of emotion and love (not to mention Melanie remaining) that the human body comes with. And her "mistakes" would be to allow Mel's memories to become dominent and control her actions (such as falling in love with Jared, looking for Jared and Jamie, ect.) Makes sense, right?

Soul Meets Body is on SM's playlist. And it really is perfect. I love her playlist. I listen to it every time I read The Host.
