So, I was checking out Wikipedia, looking down at what it said about Stephenie Meyer... When I saw this...

So is The Host going to become another series? I sure hope so...

Well, as exciting as this sounds, we can't rely on it. Wikipeida is just people posting there own information so it isnt a reliable source. Hopefully it is true Very Happy

Actually, Stephenie isn't sure if she's writing the next two. she has a prologue and epilogue written for two more books but isn't making any definite decisions yet.

I really wish people would get over Wikipedia 'not being a reliable source'. Wikipedia is a very reliable source. People do submit their own information, but if they do not provide a valid citation, their input is deleted. It's happened to me before, so I know from experience. I wanted to test it, to see if it was really as moderated as people said it was... and it was, lol. My 'Max is the best Maine Coon ever!' contribution to the Maine Coon Wiki page was deleted before the hour was up [= /]. Ok, maybe that was a little conspicuous, but I trust Wikipedia and have yet to be misled. It's a crazy popular site so of course people are going to be keeping a close watch on it.

Ahem, anyway. I have heard from multiple places that Stephenie's planning on continuing the series. In fact, here are the 'exact' quotes from a recent Q&A:

I’m currently finishing writing the fourth book in the Twilight saga, Breaking Dawn, which will wrap up Bella and Edward’s story. I plan to then write Midnight Sun, which is Twilight told from Edward’s perspective. After that, I may write some sequels for The Host, or a may pull another outline from my files to play with. I won’t stop writing; there are too many stories I want to tell.

Are you going to write a sequel and when will it come out?

I don’t know. I don’t know. I’d like to, but I’ve been working on the Twilight saga and it takes a while. (Screaming cheers) I’ve been doing a lot of editing, which isn’t my favourite thing, but the Host was finished months ago so I haven’t been in that world for a while. Now that I’ve been on tour and answering questions, it makes me excited about the sequel. People want Midnight Sun first, so I’ll get that one done first. The Host eventually, it takes a while, though. So it’ll be years, not Months.

there was a kid in my chemistry class who printed off a method for an experiment from wikipedia, and in the middle of it, it went totally crazy talking about beetroots or something. and he hadn't read it and handed it in like that... so y'know, it can lead you astray. =]

hahaha...OMG I WOULD BE SOOOO MORTIFIED IF I EVER DID THAT!!! BUT if it happened to someone else in my class I would be rolling on the floor with everyone else in my class laughing at him...lol (i can picture it now)(haahahahahahahahaha)
